Storm - Hurricane - Ocean

An ocean with a lot of plankton, has a tendency to create hurricane than a clear ocean. Plankton will cover the ocean surface and cause the heat of the sun can not penetrate deeper.
in the clear ocean, that deeper heat is carried away from the gyre by its associated deep currents, creating a region that is cooler than the rest of the tropics. There are no such currents to carry away the warmer waters of the murky regions. A cooler area changes patterns of regional air convection and so reduces the number of cyclones over the gyre.
